Code Purple

The Delaware TSA state officers met in November for the month’s service project. Collaborating with Code Purple, your officers were able to prepare casserole dishes that went to the homeless in Delaware so that we can bring holiday cheer to those in need. Verizon Innovative App Challenge

TSA is running the Verizon Innovative App Challenge for the fourth year in a row. Middle school and high school teams have the chance to win mobile devices, $20,000 for their schools, and the opportunity to be recognized at the 2016 national TSA conference in Nashville, TN. Haunted Trail Service Project

Last October, the Delaware TSA state officers volunteered as actors in an event called Fright Night at Brecknock Park. The haunted attraction is very famous around the Camden and Dover area and has 29 spooky scenes, including an abandoned bus, toxic wasteland, and a maze around a barn. Fall Conference Reminders

This year’s CTSO Fall Leadership Conference is next week (October 20 for high school and October 21 for middle school) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (registration is at 8:00 AM) at the Delaware State Fairgrounds. Students will participate in interactive, hands-on workshops that will help them develop leadership skills in all aspects of their lives. Coastal Cleanup

The September monthly service project was the first service project your DETSA State Officers attended of the year! On September 19th, your state officers volunteered at South Bowers Beach for International Coastal Cleanup Day, a global effort involving thousands of volunteers around the world to clean up the coasts.
