The Delaware TSA state officers met in November for the month’s service project. Collaborating with Code Purple, your officers were able to prepare casserole dishes that went to the homeless in Delaware so that we can bring holiday cheer to those in need.

Code Purple is an organization that provides shelter, warm food, and new clothes to the homeless in freezing weather conditions. There are many displaced people in Delaware who don’t have shelter or nutritious food throughout the year, and winter time is the hardest times for them. It is important to take care of these people and make sure that they get a safe place during harsh weather.

This was an awarding time for all of us because it gave us an opportunity to give back to our community. We were able to make 6 trays of casseroles, which were given to the Shepherd’s Place in Dover. We were honored to have helped such a great organization.

If you or your chapter would be interested in volunteering with your state officers, visit the Delaware TSA website at detsa.org for information on future service project events. These events are easy ways to give back to your community, and helping out would be great!
